Date: 25th Feb 2025 Author: Chris Astbury

Over the weekend of the 8th/9th February, Shropshire Scouts took part in the annual Shropshoot target shooting event at Aldersley, Wolverhampton, using air rifles, air pistols and sport crossbows.

Scouts, Explorers and Leaders from across the county took part in the competition representing teams from: 1st Admaston; 1st Bayston Hill; Boreatton; 1st Much Wenlock; 1st Newport and Nova ESU; 1st Priorslee and St Georges; 1st Rea Valley; 1st Shrewsbury and Nameless ESU; 2nd Church Aston; 2nd St Martins; 2nd Wellington and Wayward ESU; 2nd Whitchurch and Karakoram ESU; 8th Bridgnorth and Panthers ESU; Coalbrookdale; Ellesmere Town; Gobowen ESU; Shropshire County; Tern Valley YL ESU; Wemians ESU.

Unfortunately due to range issues on the Saturday, the pistol competition for entrants scheduled to shoot on the Sunday had to be transferred to a postal competition. Details about this were sent out to team managers.

Due to this only partial results could be posted. These include Benchrest and Standing Rifle, Sport Crossbow and Most Improved in these disciplines.
