Date: 8th May 2022 Author: James Owen

Congratulations to the Shropshire team in the Scout Inter-County Air Rifle and Air Pistol match at Aldersley this weekend.

The team comprises Jack, Ciara, Amber, Bethany, Will, Harrison, Olivia, and Emma,

For the first time in over 20-year history, the team secured the Bronze Medal behind teams from Surrey and Cheshire.

Will one of the squad members also took the Gold medal in Pistol for the highest total of Inner tens and overall score by a shooter aged under 18.

The four reserves squad members excelled in their matches, each one taking a medal, Pippa and Tegan took the Gold medals in their age groups. The Under-13 category was a clean sweep for Shropshire with  Amy taking the Silver and Noah the Bronze behind Pippa.

John Our County Shooting Advisor Would also like to show his appreciation of the support the squad has had from Dexter in his time as County Commissioner, without which today’s success would not have been possible.
