Under 18 But Want To Lead?

Scouts has a Young Leaders’ Scheme which is designed to support under 18’s who would like to work with a section. From this scheme you’ll gain the knowledge and skills required to act as a part of a leadership team in either Beavers, Cubs, or Scouts.

It’s a great opportunity, especially if you want to:

  • Become a troop leader, group scout leader, county commissioner or even chief scout!
  • Complete your Kings Scout Award/ Duke of Edinburgh’s volunteering requirements
  • Build your CV or university application

What Commitment Is There?

Other than the troop night you want to lead on the Scheme is taught over 11 modules and 4 missions. The modules provide you with the knowledge to lead and the missions allow you to put what you’ve learnt into practice.

Where Can I Do It?
