Skills For Life

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with Skills for Life. We encourage young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, we help 8,919 young people across Shropshire enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future.

Welcome to Shropshire Scouts

Through the Scout programme young people become more resilient, confident and more compelled to take some responsibility for their communities.

Whether it’s fire lighting at the Wrekin Campsite, canoeing on the River Severn, learning to navigate in the Shropshire Hills AONB, or simply learning to make friends in the Scout Hut Shropshire is a fantastic place to Scout.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
