This website has been created to promote scouting within the two unitary authorities that the Shropshire Scout Council support, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
It is basicaly a very rural county with two major towns, Shrewsbury and Telford. Until 1st April 2003 the Scout County comprised of seven districts, then on the 1st April Shropshire had a major re--organisation and downsized the number of districts to three, these are Shropshire Borders, Shropshire Severn & Teme and Tern Valley
